On October 1, 1995, Word Entertainment released VeggieTales on VCD for the Philips CDi system, to coincide with the release of Rack, Shack, and Benny. They did continue to release the episodes on VCD until 1999 with Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed, since the CDi was discontinued a year earlier. Lyrick Studios also reprinted some episodes in 1998, with the exception of God Wants Me To Forgive Them!?!, and the last reprint being The Toy That Saved Christmas in October 1998.

Trivia[]
- The original Word/Everland VCDs are just VHS scans, meaning that they are in VHS quality. However, the Lyrick Studios reprints are in high quality, since they used master copies.
- Lyrick Studios did reprint Are You My Neighbor? in 1997 alongside the VHS reprint, both were test releases, however, unlike the VHS, the VCD reuses the Word version with inferior VHS quality.
- Although most releases are the same as the VHS counterparts, some editing work was done on some episodes:
- Are You My Neighbor? has some brightness work done, but only on Love Your Neighbor, with the shots that looked dark. Some prints of this episode omit the Big Idea logo at the end, and those prints have an audio issue where the audio is mono. This was fixed later on.
- Rack, Shack, and Benny, for its fast-FPS release, has more saturated picture, though not nearly to the level of the Veggietales Classics remaster. It seems like they tried to recreate what its original colors were, and the colors seemed to fade during rendering. However, the Lyrick Studios reprint leaves the faded colors alone, as well as the slow-FPS release.
- A Very Silly Sing Along has some sound re-mixing done, so a few sound effects were missing. Some songs (mainly the songs from Where's God When I'm S-Scared?) has their picture scaled to the right a little bit. Also, the credits were zoomed in slightly, probably to get rid of the white edges. Also, the Larry-Boy teaser is omitted.
- Madame Blueberry has slightly darker picture.
- Strangely, for the 1997-98 episodes, the still version of the Big Idea logo is removed.
- Starting with A Very Silly Sing Along, the FBI warning appears after the "Distributed by Phillips Media" logo.
