Veggietales: Curse Of The Sea-Witch is a 2006 american action faith-based film and is loosely based on the orignal Veggietales series. It serves as the pilot movie to Angeles Veggies.
History:[]
On November 1st 1999, Big Idea Productions announced it's second feature film titled Veggietales: The Curse Of The Sea Bass and was originally supposed to come out on June 12th 2000 but due to time constraints and constant script changing the film was ultimately delayed. On August 13th 2000 the movie's first teaser trailer was shown to the public but due to trailer's rough and unfinished animation as well as a few model errors seen in the 2:31 min mark and the 1:33 min mark, the film was pushed forward to 2003.
On September 3rd 2003, Big Idea had confirmed that they finished writing the entire script for the movie and putting the finishing touches on the animation and the design of the backgrounds. But during September 19th 2003, the entire thing was deleted due to someone sleeping and slacking on the job. On December 9th 2005, it was officially confirmed that the movie was coming and so was the series soon after with a planned release window of 2019.
As of Spring 2020, it was announced that Veggietales: Back In Action would have three seasons due to script changes to episodes and recent lawsuits to the production company behind the show. Over 47 episodes were ordered for the entire series. On December 9th 2021 however, the series has been renewed for a 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th season due to the lawsuits being lifted and Big Idea with the help of Dreamworks green-lit 4 more seasons for the animated 2D series.
As of 2022 and 2023, it is unclear if this rebooted Veggietales franchise would continue as Cartoon Network president Tom Ascheim recently announced to show fans on Twitter that he would cancel the series after it's final season.
