VeggieTales! is a 2004-2012 American live-action puppeted children television series and serves as a non-canon sequel to the original animated VeggieTales series for unknown reasons. It was produced by Chris Olsen {A member who worked for Big Idea as an animator}, directed by Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki, and with episodes produced and written by the Taiwanese-based animation studio Wang {with licenses by Big Idea of course}. The series is about Bob the Tomato {voiced by John Trauscht} and the silly co-host Larry the Cucumber {voiced by Ian Hamlin}, who put on fantastic shows based on stories from the Bible, and lets not forget Larry's occasional segment on the show, Silly Songs with Larry, where Larry may or may not sing a Silly Song based on the episode's topic. It premiered on October 15th, 2008 and concluded its original run on August 16th, 2012. The show had made several syndicated appearances ever since its departure from its original network , first having reruns on both Nick Toons and PAK TV from 2012-2014, on TCT from 2015-2020, and currently on TBN from November 12th, 2024-July 8th, 2025.

On July 17th, 2014, it was confirmed that this generation of VeggieTales would be receiving a set of 10 movies for 10 years, as confirmed by Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki themselves, and although they won't be returning as the voices of Bob the Tomato, Archibald Asparagus, Mr.Lunt, Jean-Claude, and Larry the Cucumber, Phil confirmed that he was going to voice Pa Grape, Jimmy Gourd, Philippe, Mr.Nezzer, Tom Grape, Scallion #1, Guy Brocoli, and Goliath, as well as provided additional vocalization for Apollo Gourd. Mike would also be returning to voice Jerry Gourd, Scallion #2, Scallion #3, Charlie Pincher, and many others. It is currently unclear if Lisa Vischer had returned to voice Junior Asparagus, but various voice clips from trusted sources claim that she had reutrnered with updated versions of previous voice work in the original VeggieTales series, although, it was probably archival audio.
