The True Veggie Story

The True Veggie Story is a YouTube series. It is similar to another fanon series "The True Story of Strawberry Shortcake" in terms of being a remake of the original VeggieTales series, albeit with several changes like an expanded lore, new episodes and a proper series finale. In addition to it being a YouTube series, it also airs on CBS.

Differences

• Due to its TV-14 rating, the show is intended for more mature audiences due to some episodes tackling serious issues.
• The Netflix series' episodes won't be featured here.
• The six direct-to-video episodes of 3-2-1 Penguins! will be remade as VeggieTales episodes.
• Some of the Silly Songs from the original episodes will tie into the titular story's plot. This is extremely noticeable in episodes like Rack, Shack and Benny, The Toy That Saved Christmas, the first half of The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything, Josh and the Big Wall!, King George and the Ducky, Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry's Big River Rescue and The League of Incredible Vegetables and the Flurry of Fear.
  • Speaking of which, Silly Songs that don't tie into the titular story's plot will have both an intro scene and an outro scene.
• More characters
• More episodes
• More songs
• Many mysteries not addressed in the original series are revealed (like how the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything got to the events of the Jonah story in Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie, how the vegetable characters themselves do things without limbs and what they eat, etc.)
• The episodes will switch between having Phil Vischer, Mike Nawrocki, Lisa Vischer and the others doing their characters via archive audio, and having several VeggieTales fans doing character impressions.
• There would be a more fleshed out lore that ties each episode together.
• There would be an actual ending.
• Both Very Silly Songs! and The End of Silliness? are heavily changed to be based upon the silly song that originated. In the case of Very Silly Songs!, this only applies to the first half since the second half is based upon The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A VeggieTales Movie.
• At the end of each episode (with the exception of the season finales), there will be a voiceover saying "Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode!" followed by a short montage of scenes from the next episode ala the way CBS does it. Also, speaking of CBS, any time "This is, The True Veggie Story" is said, the "Law and Order" clang sound will play.
