Trivia[]
- This is the only "Strawberry Shortcake" series to ever be aimed towards boys, hence the title. Many people praised it for this, while others were alienated with some even accusing American Greetings of being sexist, causing Big Idea to shut it down and sell it to DIC Entertainment.
- In addition, this is the only series made by Big Idea to release on home video and to air on TV at the same time.
- What made this more or less confusing was that whenever the episodes get reprinted after 2002 (and on reruns from 2003 until it got taken off the air in 2008), the characters had to be redubbed with their 2003 voice actors (i.e., Sarah Heinke, Rachel Ware, Dejare Barfield, Samantha Triba, Rebecca Noddle, Bianca Heyward, etc.) thus ruining the idea.
- The character designs look identical to the ones seen in the 2003 series, albeit with a few tweaks.
- Huckleberry Pie is shown to be a mix of a fisherman and a skater.
- While Blueberry Muffin is shown to be a bookworm, there are a few scenes where Blueberry acts ditzy.
- Apple Dumplin' is shown to be Strawberry's cousin like in "Berry Bitty Adventures".
- In 2003 due to Big Idea going bankrupt, distribution rights to home media releases of the show were handed to 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment rather than Warner Home Video or SONY Wonder - mainly to keep true to the Strawberry Shortcake distribution rights.
