Trivia[]
- Like Bob and Larry's Valentine's Day Special, the sound of Mr. Jerrycone crying tears of joy was also heard when Patrick Star cried tears of joy near the end of the SpongeBob SquarePants episode The Great Snail Race.
- This episode takes place on Friday December 19, which means it either takes place on December 19, 1997, or December 19, 2003.From December 15, to December 26, from 2008, to 2019 Christmas episodes of VeggieTales Kids. VeggieTales Kids still re runs as of 2020.
- This episode and Candy Cane Catastrophe were originally going to be season 6 episodes on December 19, 2003. However, since production for both episodes were finished early in December 2001, both episodes aired earlier as season 5 episodes on February 18, 2003.
- Despite this and Candy Cane Catastrophe being Christmas episodes, the PBS Kids Fishbowl logo is used on television airings of both episodes. This also happens when Candy Cane Catastrophe appeared on the VHS of Everyone Is Special, and when Santa Claus' Visit appeared on the VHS of Strike Up the Band. As a result, after in aired on TV, an employee at PBS was shocked about this, and the employee asked the station to put the Snowglobe logo on instead. After getting the call, the station promised to use the PBS Kids Snowglobe logo on future Christmas episodes, and the correction was made when newer Christmas episodes aired on TV. However, the VHS of Holiday Fun, containing both this episode and Candy Cane Catastrophe actually used the PBS Kids Snowglobe logo at the end to match the other holiday episodes.
- VeggieTales would later do a Pinocchio parody 7 years later called "Pistachio - The Little Boy That Woodn't".
Goofs/Errors[]
- Despite the fact that Rodger Bumpass voices Mr. Squashy in this episode, the sound of Mr. Squashy crying tears of joy actually comes from Tom Kenny, who was the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants. As a result, the audio is recycled audio of SpongeBob SqurePants crying from the SpongeBob SquarePants episode Pizza Delivery, right after SpongeBob says "It's not just a boulder, it's a rock."
- However, foreign dubs of this episode use Mr. Squashy's correct voice when he cries.
