Phillip Mertollini is the main antagonist turned anti-hero in The Fearless Five series. He is the eldest brother of the Mertollini Brothers as well as the lead singer.
Phillip first appears in Fearless when he is giving a tour to the future Fearless Five with his brothers. He seems welcoming to them at first, but then becomes jealous when he realizes that one of them, Persephone, could sing. Since then, he's been trying to beat her at her own game.
He challenges Persephone to a sing-off, which ends up with him tricking her into thinking no one was going to come. However, when Craig and Dean go into the burning fire of the theater to rescue Bash, he expresses concern.
After the Fearless Five TP his dorm house, he gets back at them by hosting a live concert to spite Persephone's anxiety. However, when they end up doing it, and Azul introduces them first, he has second thoughts about them and even some anxiety himself.
He manages to be impressed by how Persephone conquers her anxiety onstage, but hides his true feelings well, and agrees to be frienemies with Persephone.
Phillip is slender, with green skin and light purple hair, nose, and eyes. He wears a light purple and black checkered sweater vest over a white collared shirt with yellow tie. He also wears dark blue-grey pants and dark grey heeled shoes.
At first glance, Phillip seemed poised and mature than his brothers. He is somewhat welcoming to Persephone, but later on, when he hears Persephone sing, he becomes jealous of her and snobbish about being the better singer. He goes out of his way to make sure he beats Persephone at her own game.
However, he shows a caring side to his brothers, making sure they're kept out of harm's way.
Overall, Phillip is snarky, snobbish, and easily annoyed, but secretly caring, semi-friendly, and intelligent.
- Phillip is based off of Scallion 1 from VeggieTales.
- He was named after Randy Phillips from the band Phillips, Craig, and Dean.
