Mr. Squashy Loses His Cool is the second half of the ninth episode of season 5 of VeggieTales Kids.

Plot[]

In math class, Mr. Squashy gives Mr. Nezzer a warning to stop interrupting when students are trying to speak, and that if he continues, he will receive a 5 minute time-out. Larry the Cucumber is about to present his math presentation, when suddenly Mr. Nezzer blurts out and rudely interrupts him. Larry the Cucumber tries to present it again a little bit loudly, but Mr. Nezzer still blurts out and interrupts him, which causes Larry to tell him to please stop interrupting him. Mr. Squashy gives Mr. Nezzer a final warning, but Mr. Nezzer doesn't care, so he interrupts Larry again, which causes Larry to cry. Larry tells Mr. Squashy that Mr. Nezzer keeps interrupting him, and Mr. Squashy tells Larry to please continue after Mr. Squashy talks to Mr. Nezzer. Mr. Squashy sternly tells Mr. Nezzer that he didn't listen to what Mr. Squashy has been telling him, so he politely orders him to go sit in the hall for a 5 minute time-out. Mr. Nezzer runs off sobbing hysterically. Larry then continues his math presentation and demonstrates fractions and subtraction to Mr. Squashy and the students. He tells them that there is a big school party. There are 2 full pieces of pizza, and 10 boxes of French fries. There are 20 students. Half of the students are girls, and the other half are boys. He tells the kids that the girls cut one of the 2 full pieces of pizza into tenths so that each girl can get a piece, while the boys each share 1 box of large French fries, so that all the boys each have one box. The teachers cut the other full piece into eighths since there are 8 teachers. He tells them that the pieces of pizza were broken into fractions, and the boxes of French fries were subtracted by 1 boy each. Mr. Nezzer comes back into the classroom, and Mr. Squashy goes over the rules that Mr. Nezzer needs to follow. If the rule is broken once, he will get a warning. If the rule is broken twice, he will receive a 5 minute time-out in the hall. If the rule is broken the third time, he will lose recess. If the rule is broken the fourth time, his parents would be called. If the rule is broken the fifth time, he will go to detention. Meanwhile, Mr. Squashy congratulates Larry for presenting to the class. He tells them that Bob the Tomato will be the next presenter. Just as Bob is about to present, Mr. Nezzer blurts out, and Mr. Squashy tells him he will lose recess. Mr. Nezzer still interrupts Bob, and Mr. Squashy calls Pa Grape and Mr. Lunt. Mr. Nezzer interrupts again, and after Mr. Squashy's phone call, Mr. Squashy is outraged with Mr. Nezzer, saying that he can't believe Mr. Nezzer broke all 5 rules. Bob tells Mr. Squashy that he hated that Mr. Nezzer interrupted him. Mr. Squashy tells him that because he broke all 5 rules, he will receive 90 minutes of detention, and he will be stuck doing nothing but homework in detention. Bob then continues his presentation on division, saying that over the last 3 months, they received 5 inches of snow every week, with a total of 80 inches of snow. He divides the 80 inches by 5 saying that there are 16 inches that haven't been falling yet, saying they need 16 more inches to reach a total of 160. A 3 hours later time card follows, with Mr. Nezzer stuck doing nothing but homework as the episode fades out.

Goofs/Errors[]

After the funding credits at the end of this episode, which was paired up with Hospitalized, the PBS Kids Snowglobe logo uses the Dash Transformation logo's audio. This happens on all TV airings of this episode and Hospitalized, as well as the first half of Disc 5 of the DVD release of The Complete Fifth Season, and at the end of Volume 31: Friends and Family, and Volume 33: Learn Something New. That's because both episodes are on the first half of Disc 5 of The Complete Fifth Season, Hospitalized is on Volume 31: Friends and Family, and this episode (Mr. Squashy Loses His Cool) is on Volume 33: Learn Something New.
