Larry's Library is a collection of classic VeggieTales stories that are told by Larry. It features 4 stories and 4 Silly Songs.
Plot[]
Larry welcomes the kids to VeggieTales and says they're probably wondering why he's all of a sudden in a library. He says that this is his secret library that he has at his house. He says he loves reading books and wants to read some of his favorite books to the kids. All of a sudden, there's a knock on the door. Larry wonders who that could be. He goes out to his front door and sees Bob. Bob has been wondering where Larry has been, because they have dinner plans at Burger Bell with Jimmy and Jerry at six. Larry says that it's only four, and that they have time to read some stories. Bob couldn't wait any longer to hang out with Larry though. Larry tells Bob to come on back to his library. Bob is impressed, because he's never seen this before. Larry thinks it's time to read a story to Bob and the kids. Bob sits down in a chair and awaits Larry's story. The first story is Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed.
After Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed, Bob thinks that was a great story about never spreading rumors. Larry says that his weed whacker still hasn't gotten repaired after all these years. Bob is surprised by that. All of a sudden, Junior enters the library. Larry is surprised that Junior is here now. Bob hopes Larry doesn't mind that he invited some more company over to hear his stories. Larry says he's more than happy to read stories for more people. That's when Jean Claude and Phillipe enter, hoping to hear a story told by Larry. Larry says he'll find just the right one, now that more people are here. The second story is The Strange Case of Dr. Jiggle and Mr. Sly.
After Dr. Jiggle and Mr. Sly, Junior said that story was strange, but had a really important lesson. Jean Claude wonders if it's how to dance. Bob says that it helps remind us that we're special, just the way God made us. Just then, Laura and Pa Grape enter, hearing about the stories Larry's been telling. Laura wants to hear an action-packed story. Pa Grape wants to hear a story with drama and emotions. Junior wants to hear a silly story. Jean Claude and Phillipe want a French story. Everyone gets into an argument about the kinds of stories they want to hear. Bob thinks this is getting out of hand. Larry attempts to find a story that will end the feuding. He thinks he's found a great story, that has a little bit of everything. The third story is Madame Blueberry.
After Madame Blueberry, everyone is satisfied. Junior got some silliness in the story, Pa Grape got emotions, Laura got action, and the French Peas got French. Junior thinks that they should just be thankful for the time that they all get to spend together. Everyone agrees. That's when Archibald and Mr. Lunt come in. Mr. Lunt wonders if they're done telling stories yet. Larry says he thinks there's time for one more. Just then, Mr. Nezzer comes in with a great idea for a story. Larry wonders what that could possibly be. Mr. Nezzer wonders if he can take the spotlight for a minute. Larry says he doesn't see why not, and lets Mr. Nezzer share his story. Mr. Nezzer tells them the story of how Bumblyburg was founded. An exclusive story begins, called The History of Bumblyburg.
After The History of Bumblyburg, Larry thinks it was a great story and reminds everyone about the importance of teamwork. Larry thinks there's still time for one more story. Archibald hopes it's a good story. Larry says he'll think everyone will remember this classic story. He asks them if they remember a young lad named Pistachio. Mr. Lunt remembers that story, and asks if it was about a wooden boy who tried to listen to his father. Larry says that's the one. He begins reading Pistachio - The Little Boy Who Woodn't.
After Pistachio - The Little Boy Who Woodn't, Phillipe comments that it was a super sweet story. Jean Claude thinks he's tearing up a little. Larry is glad that everyone enjoyed the stories. Bob wonders if now would be a good time to talk about what they learned today. Larry thinks that's a good idea. Larry grabs a Bible as the "What We Have Learned" song plays. After the song, Larry reads a verse about spending quality time with friends. Bob thinks that it's important to spend time with your loved ones, and that spending time with others that have a strong relationship with God will help increase your connection with God too. Larry says not only that, but they learned some great lessons in the stories too. Bob recaps Larry-Boy, Junior recaps Dr. Jiggle, Pa Grape recaps Madame Blueberry, Mr. Nezzer recaps Bumblyburg, and Archibald recaps Pistachio. Bob thinks that's all the time they have for today, especially considering that their dinner plans are soon. Larry reminds the kids that God made them special, and He loves them very much. Bob then invites everyone else to tag along for dinner. Everyone is more than happy to come.
