Jason and Michelle Conrad is a spiritual sequel to 3-2-1 Penguins!. It released on October 11, 2013 in select theaters, and then on DVD and Blu-Ray on February 10, 2014.
Premise
Ever since they made that discovery in their Grandmum's attic involving a toy spaceship and penguin figurines, Jason T. Conrad and his twin sister Michelle used to be great recruits whenever they went on space adventures with Zidgel, Midgel, Fidgel and Kevin. But the thing is, Jason and Michelle seem to have outgrown this when they became adults! And when the U.F.P.S Rockhopper stops by for a visit, Jason and Michelle must have what it takes for them to remember who their old penguin friends were before they're completely forgotten.
Trivia
- This story has the same feeling as Sony's "Hook" and Disney's "Christopher Robin", where a former child character grows up and has to be reminded of the good times that character once had as a child.
- Unlike "Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie" and "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A VeggieTales Movie", this only had a limited theatrical run.
- This is the first theatrical film for the following:
- The first 3-2-1 Penguins! production to have such a thing.
- The first time a Big Idea series other than VeggieTales got a feature film.
- The first Big Idea movie since "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A VeggieTales Movie".
- The first 3-2-1 Penguins! production to get a Blu-Ray release.
- The first Big Idea movie to get a Blu-Ray release since "Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie".
- The first Big Idea production overall to get a Blu-Ray release since "Pistachio - The Little Boy That Woodn't".
- Because Jason and Michelle are grown up in this film, it is unknown whether Mark Marten and Melissa Peterson would be returning to voice them, or if they'll stick with Quinn Lord and Claire Corlett, or if they'll get recast.
- This would be the last Big Idea movie until the "LarryBoy" movie in 2026.
